The TigerRAWk Videos
« on: July 11, 2008, 12:29:38 PM »
I figured since this is the one creative expression that I can share with others at this point I would make a topic in this part of the message board.

Anyway, I posted this information on the Autobahn 8 thread as well but I finally got a chance to finish compiling the video into a DvD of Autobahn 8 and also made another DvD with three Travelogue performances (2 from the grog shop; one from hifi).  Of course all the footage is on youtube but if anyone desires the DvD which ultimately will be better quality then hit me up at my myspace (http://www.myspace.com/thesolaceofmacabre) where I have put some paypal donation buttons to offset the cost.

Here is a link to the trailer of Autobahn8 - The Blizzard Edition:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BO3geMtXWM

Here is another link which is the full playlist of the 10 trailers I have created so far for the DvDs I have compiled:

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=BE063141E08D89DA

Again hit the myspace to donate for any of these projects.

I guess I should post a link to a couple of playlists I have put together recently for anyone interested.

First, last week I was in a mood to experiment a bit with different effects and settings and had some footage I shot entirely using the night exposure setting on my camera.  Due to personal things I wasn't sure if it was worth the effort to put this together but in the end I enjoyed how it turned out and it took very little time really to do everything.  It pretty much consists of a friend of mine named Greg doing a techno set under his name DJGlow for a bunch of our friends.  I edited in other footage over top of the less exciting moments of his set of a twister game, someone playing wii, some fireworks, and the new years countdown.  I compiled it to a DvD to have on record but I also compressed it for youtube.  The compression itself was a lesson where I may have found a better method with better quality for youtube.  So without further boring technical details, Here is the link:

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=1014F6BD5BBBE1BB

The second thing is a bunch of footage of fireworks in the Cincinnati area in reverse chronological order.  I am a fireworks junkie and this is pretty much just the footage as me and my camera saw it without any effects added or manipulation.  I used a setting on the camera called "fireworks" so that would be the only enhancement:

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A62FC50E719898AC

Finally I have added a number of videos to my life in Northside playlist.  Some of which I might end up making into a different playlist because they are directly focused on the ministry I am part of but since that is my life in Northside maybe I won't make a new playlist...maybe I will eventually divide it into years or something.  Anyway here is that playlist:

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=7ED755BAF99C695C

The next project I am beginning to tackle is the footage shot during my trip to Cornerstone and my trip to Pennsylvania the week before that to visit with family.  I may post on here as I get stuff ready...or maybe i will wait until it's all posted

That's quite alright Stephen...I actually been on somewhat of a hiatus from this site due to a constant state of being busy with the Cornerstone project in my free time and well that free time has been limited.  I think I somewhat stopped checking in regularly a few weeks ago when there was little action but that seems to have picked up.

Anyway, Cornerstone 2008 footage is coming along nicely.  I have posted all band footage up through Thursday at around 3pm of Cornerstone.  I hope to have most if not all of Cornerstone uploaded within a week or so.  Then I can work on the footage that I intend to turn into the documentary.  Many that I camped with are anticipating that and I hope it opens more doors if I do a decent job of editing the footage.

Glad you enjoyed the fireworks though...I really thought those all turned out pretty well.

Here's a playlist for Cornerstone 2008 (I even divided some of these into different playlists too):

Here's a simple project I put together from a weekend trip I just made to Maryland for Unified Undergound:

Hey guys,

I been editing away at a ton of videos that are of course posted at youtube.com/TigerRAWk

I figured I would post the link especially for this one where I used Winter from the Acoustic Selections as the soundtrack:

Enjoy!

 ;D

that was pretty cool!
i liked it.
for some odd reason i laughed when i saw the birds at first, but i'm not sure why.

i really like the STOP sign shot.
that's how i feel in my head when it snows up here.
lol
was it just me or did anyone else think that parking meter looked like it had a face?
lol

the use of this particular song with a very barren looking environment was rather eerie.
this song really does go well with the season it represents, if even from a creepy aspect.
aside from a car or two driving by, it reminded me of stephen king's the stand, where everyone was dead.

i think some of the creepiest scenes in films are locales that look like they should be bustling with crowds, but are empty and devoid of populace.

Did you happen to notice how the one bird appears to be moving its head to the music? haha.

I shot a lot of it from my apartment window then decided to film outside when i was unburying my car.  Over the last 2 days since I posted it I have come to see some amazing sights due to the ice coating on everything and my apartment has some extreme icicles on it...some began crashing down this morning onto the fire escape and woke me.

I thought the icicles on the stop sign were interesting hence taking the shot of it.

I agree the song worked real well with the sights of the video.  It wasn't quite as barren as I made it appear but still Cincinnati folks weren't venturing outside too much.

I also considered using the original electronic version of the song from the limited edition Winter ep but felt the acoustic felt right.  If we get another winter storm this year I might use the other Winter or maybe save it for the next winter season.

Thanks for your commentary though...it's always nice to hear what others get out of art.

Here is some "vintage" videos I put together from the life and times in Mount Vernon, Ohio and Meadville, PA.  They have been well received by those of whom the videos document and a few others too:

In the playlist each video is set up with a bit of explanation.  Enjoy if you have the time!

If anyone wants to see some Cornerstone vdeos here is the complete playlist. A few have some audio problems and I'm not sure that I can fix those or not. If I can I will upload them again when I can.

I have 3 batteries. 2 aren't so great and come with the cameras. I have one that has longer life though I think recently I've noticed its not doing as well as it used to so I may be looking to replace it soon.

Tapes, I had 10 and used most all of the space on it for all that is in that playlist and things not yet included.

I also had a charging device that I could plug into and charge up the camera batteries every night.

Travelogue LIVE Performances featuring Jon Sonnenberg and Amanda L. Spayd. Updated to include the full set from Musica in Akron, Ohio on March 24th, 2010. This is probably my favorite set I have edited and went beyond the typical work I have done with two camera angles and added some effects. If you have time to only check out one video, please watch Beside. Also look for "Carlton Banks" in Shards of Glass!
